Albufeira

This impressive hotel is strategically located in the centre of the city of Albufeira, and thanks to the vibrant atmosphere of a typical tourist resort, it is ideal for a family holiday. The main beach and the town centre with its shopping and entertainment venues are located within a short walking distance. The hotel stands out by its bold and modern architecture, featuring a unique design with strong colours and exotic woods. Moreover, guests can take full advantage of the comfort provided by the spacious public areas, in one of the most charismatic and well known hotels on the Algarve. There is a fantastic outdoor swimming pool area where family can have a good time while they take a sunbathe or enjoy a good read on the sunloungers at the pool's ample terrace. All the apartments are well appointed and provide a fully equipped areas and a acces to balconies to enjoy the nice views.

Worst hotel ever

The smell of the hotel is awful. The beds are like sleeping on bricks, definitely would not recommend this hotel. They charge 5€ for a sun bed at the pool...

Don’t buy from the shop in the hotel either it was over 60€ for a few basic items like shampoo etc. will deffo not be back to this hotel

Invisible man.

Review by twa7 Cardiff, United Kingdom

Have you ever thought about what it would like to be invisible? Well, stand at the bar at the Paraiso in the evenings with your "All Inclusive" wrist band on show and Hey Presto, the bar staff can't see you. I've just come back from a week's stay, not a great experience. I didn't book it so I was not aware that all inclusive finishes at eleven pm ( that's down to me) , I also didn't know that all inclusive guests get the cheap stuff and in the case of shorts you get glasses that are ten percent smaller...

On occasion the young men behind the bar would be doing shots with drunk girls rather than serve people but after eleven when you wave a twenty euro note at them they are quite happy to serve you. The food was not great, very much like a travel lodge or premier inn, we ate out a few nights. The entertainment was very poor, a few "Pub Singers" singing to backing tracks or an organ and a couple of nights of Karaoke, which I personally found excruciating, one evening someone brought in a few animals to entertain the guests then the Stag and Hen party's show up. Some staff were nice, I thought it was clean but dated. If you enjoy loud nights and long walks to the beach, this is for you. I won't be going back.

Birthday treat

Review by L5558LIgaryc Swansea, United Kingdom

10 of us stayed here in March, nice hotel in fairness, staff very friendly, not the weather for sitting by the pool but in the summer would imagine its amazing as beautiful pool area. Rooms are OK everything you need in them and clean. Hotel was very clean as well...

If you fancy the gym nice gym area.

Don't trust Santini

Broke my friends CD player when we we're out of the room, friend promised it was Santini and not him?!

Otherwise good stay.

Location was nice and also sold toblerones which was a big bonus.

Looking forward to returning again

Nice Staff But The Beds and Rooms Are Awful

So I’m sat here on my last night of my holiday with my partner and three children.

We have had a great time in Portugal and the people are amazing. They can’t do enough for you...

However, the bed I have stayed in for 7 nights isn’t fit for anyone, especially a paying guest. I haven’t slept and I’m sat here at 2am writing this…

The pillows have lumps in and give you pain like never before and the mattresses are worse. Springs popping out all over the place, rock hard, with blankets like you get in police cells.

I genuinely feel like I’ve spent 7 nights for a crime I haven’t committed.

The hotel facilities are good, but really strict, the staff seem to make up rules on the spot. We was watching football in the bar and one of our group brought chicken in to eat as the hotel food wasn’t really that nice. To which the bar man said, you can’t eat in here… Isn’t your hotel suppose to be your home from home?

All in all I would rate this hotel 2.5 stars overall and this is because of the staff, without them it would be 0.5 stars.

The hotel needs to invest in better beds, pillows and mattresses to take them out of the dark ages. If they did this, the hotel would definitely live up to its 4 star self rating.
