Loved it!

Just got home following a fantastic 1 week stay at the Gran Hotel Bali. Check in was easy with no queues however we may have got lucky as we did see queues at times. The reception staff were great...

The breakfast was nice and had the usual, sausage, bacon, eggs etc. They even put on free champagne for everyone. The hotel was very clean, as was the pool area. There was never any problem getting in a lift as plenty available. There was never any problem getting a lounger by the pool either. Guests in the hotel, I'd say were around 80% Spanish and they were all so friendly. Prices were reasonable at the bar and the drinks were great. Quite far out from Benidorm but the number 2 and 3 bus would take you there within 10 mins from the Bali. There's a beautiful cove/beach not far with bars/restaurants around. Prices there can really differ so I'd recommend you check the menu prices before you commit. I was shocked to receive a bill in one of them for 2 salads and 2 pints for €48!!!

For a day out, I'd recommend the Algar Waterfalls. We had a great day out there and we're very well looked after by Will Sparkle through Benidorm Tickets.

Loved our week away!

Happy stay

The food was great being vegetarian we were surprised by the variety of food available. Chef Rebecca serving behind the display of food kept cooking and creating good variety of vegetarian/vegan food. I also notice a large section of variety of all types of food was available for meat eaters. The reception was busy but well handled and we are very happy with our room...

Most staff spoke English however understanding them and explaining took time. Thank you

Terrible service

Review by NorthStar56111873100 Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom

Waited 40 mins to get checked in and greeted by a receptionist who was rude and kept leaving to talk to her colleagues. Hotel room okay but air conditioning did not work. All inclusive was terrible, food was like slops and nothing went well together and the worrying thing was nothing was hot...

We ate out most nights. Staff were very rude when they knew you were all inclusive they treated you terribly as if you didn’t belong in the hotel. Will never visit again!

All inclusive 20 years behind

The all inclusive that the hotel offers is as follows. Food in restaurants good. Breakfast, dinner & evening meal...

Drinks served with food is water or juice from machine.snacks between meals are hotdog, toasties and chips. They quickly ran out of toasties, chips turned out to be crisps.the all inclusive drinks didn't start until 10.00 and finished at 11pm.all drinks, were served in plastic cups. If you paid for your drinks you had waiter service. All inclusive waiting at the bar for upto 10 minutes each. Time. You was treated like a second class citizen. The service from staff when they saw that you had a wristband was terrible. You could complain all the time about plastic cups but they just pointed to your wristband. We would never encourage anyone to stay here.

Break away

Review by Claire L Liverpool, United Kingdom

After losing my beloved husband 3 months ago my friend took me for a break away, hotel was fab food was real good plenty of range francisco in the restaurant was so friendly and helpful, the bar staff was great very friendly, hotel very clean and my friend and I was planning on going back very soon, BUT my friend left her purse in the room, and after phoning nearly everyday since we got back and the staff speaking very little English and costing her a small fortune calling everyday she's had no joy, we know for a fact it was left in the room, so either very dishonest cleaning staff or the person it was handed to, I am very disappointed in the help we have received in this matter, and unless this is resolved very quickly we will never return and advise all family and friends not to visit this hotel, which is a shame because other than this we enjoyed our stay
